TREK UCI Gravel World Series

3RIDES is once again the host of the German qualifying race for the 2024 Gravel World Championship. The race on Sunday, May 12, 2024 is part of the TREK UCI Gravel World Series. Anyone who is interested can come along.

TREK UCI Gravel World Series

The concept of the new Gravel race series is that riders can earn a spot for the annual TREK UCI Gravel World Championships (more info here). In each of the 25 or so qualifying races held worldwide, the fastest 25% of men and women in each age group are guaranteed a starting place at the UCI Gravel World Championships.

Professional riders can also participate in the events of the series. Any type of bike is allowed, i.e. road bike, cyclocross bike, gravel bike and mountain bike - but no e-bikes. Important: A racing license or a signed and stamped sports doctor's certificate + identity card is required (download here).

Paul Voß wins at the 2023 premiere.

Start procedure & distances

Start of the race: 12.00 noon

Anyone interested can join, a license is not required! All start according to the principle of mass start by age group. A starting box will be set up for each age category. The respective categories follow at intervals of a few minutes.

The top 25% of each age group will qualify for the 2024 UCI Gravel World Championships. This 25% will be calculated based on the actual number of participants started, not the pre-registered number of participants. The results are determined on the basis of the time driven.

Two or three rounds are run.

84 km:

Official qualifying distance for the UCI Gravel World Championship (Men 60+ and Women 50+)

126 km:

Official qualifying distance for the UCI Gravel World Championship (Elite + Men 19-59 and Women 19-49)
