The courses

Gravel Ride80 - the Aachen region

Date: 14.05.2023

Start: from 9.30

In numbers: 80 km, 1200 meters of altitude

Refreshment stops: 3

Download route

The course: The Aachen region also has a lot to offer offroad, as the "Gravel Ride80" course shows. After the start at the 3RIDES site, the route leads into the Saubach valley, past the former Belgian barracks Camp Astrid and the Eschweiler Stadtwald forest over gently undulating terrain in the direction of the Eifel. In the Zweifall forest, ramps of 15% and more await you - but beautiful, secluded forest passages with views of high moorland compensate for all the effort. Behind Rott, the route turns again in the direction of Aachen: through the south and west of Aachen, along "mountains" between 200 and almost 400 m high to the finish on the CHIO grounds.

Important: The nature of the event is not a competition, the road traffic regulations must be observed at all times. The tours can also be completed by MTB - but e-bikes are not allowed.

Gravel Ride120 - Altitude galore

Date: 14.05.2023

Start: from 8.30 a.m.

In numbers: 120 km, 2000 meters of altitude

Refreshment stops: 2

The route: The Aachen region offers many, many metres of altitude, especially off the beaten track - as the challenging "Gravel Ride120" course impressively demonstrates. The gravel and forest trail fan collects just under 2,000 meters of altitude on this route, which leads after the start on the 3RIDES grounds into the Saubach valley, past the former Belgian barracks Camp Astrid and the Eschweiler city forest over slightly undulating terrain in the direction of the Eifel. The ramps start at Zweifall, and they often reach double-digit values. In the Kalltal valley, you pass stately elevations such as the Ochsenkopf (485 m) to the Dreilägerbach reservoir. This is where the last third of the route begins - the hardest part is done! After Rott, the route leads straight towards Aachen: through the south and west of Aachen, along "mountains" between 200 and almost 400 m high to the finish on the CHIO grounds.

Important: The nature of the event is not a competition, the road traffic regulations must be observed at all times. The tours can also be completed by MTB - but e-bikes are not allowed.
